Maxine Devries Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2020, at the age of 93, Maxine Devries of Colwell, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Myron Starry and Edith Starry (VanSyoc); her husband Floyd "Dutch" DeVries; her son-in-law Rodney Taylor; her sister Berniece Walker (Clyde); her sister-in-law Beverlee Starry; and her granddaughter-in-law Liz Brown.

She is survived by: her children, Jane Taylor of Austin, Dixie Gilbertson (Dan) of Austin and John DeVries (Rhonda) of Austin; her grandchildren, Jeremy Taylor (Leah), Christopher Taylor, Nicholas Gilbertson (Kourtney), Sheila Boerger (Ben), Lyndsey Johnson (Jason) and Leah Ferch (Jordan); her great grandchildren, Lauren, Lucas Taylor, Peytyn, Josalyn Johnson, Nora Stella, Jace Ferch, Madison, Nathan Brown, Noah Gilbertson, Isaak and Madelyn Boerger; and her siblings, Robert Starry (Marlys), Dennis Starry (Theresa), Donald Starry and Mary Hultman (Roger). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Maxine's memory may be directed to Crane Community Chapel in Austin.
