We are sad to announce that on May 10, 2024, at the age of 99, Wesley Henry Smith Jr. of Columbus Junction, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Wesley may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Smith and Flossie Smith Sr. (Hubbard); his wife Elsie Griffith; his son Clark Smith; and his sister Delores Lamp.
He is survived by: his children, Rose Britton (Dwight) of Cotter, Ed Smith (Debbie) of Columbus Junction and Nancy Bickford (Terry) of Breezy Point, MN; and his sister Beverly Murry. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Wesley's name.
