He is survived by: his mother Sharon Kay Bright (Harris) of Columbus Junction, IA; his wife Tina Bright of Columbus Junction, IA; his children, Shi Anne Bright (Cody Leader) of Paden, OK, Zack of Washington, IA, Sam of Washington, IA, Alex Bright of Washington, IA and Dawson Murphy (Gabby Tharp) of Columbus Junction, IA; his granddaughter Kiara Marie Murphy; his father James Sr. Bright; and his sisters, Barb Smith of Riverside, IA and Susan Duttlinger (Rick) of East Alton, IL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Jay.
