It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles W. Sparrow of Columbus Junction, Iowa, who passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight William and Magarita "Fern" Sparrow (Heberer); his sons, Lanny and Monty; and his sisters, Margaret Mae Whitson (Walter) and Doris Blom (Gilbert).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Cutkomp of Columbus Junction; his daughters, Carly Sparrow (Kim) of Lancaster and Lucinda Hiebert (Mike) of McPherson, Kansas; his daughter-in-law Bonnie Waters (Sherman) of Cornelius; his stepdaughters, Kimberly Hafner (Brett) of Columbus Junction, Deborah Haan (Victor) of Cedar Rapids and Jennifer Coleman (Rick) of Cedar Rapids; and also Irene Hulett (David) of Knoxville, Tennessee.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Columbus Junction United Presbyterian Church (517 2nd St, Columbus Junction, IA 52738). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Washington County, Columbus Junction United Presbyterian Church or Tunnel to Towers Foundation in memory of Charles.
