He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Hurlbut and Charlotte Hurlbut (Garrison); his wife Susan Dilley; his son Steven; and his brothers, Jim, Randy and Daryl.
He is survived by: his sons, Calvin Hurlbut, Jr. (Jennifer) of Columbus Junction and Rodney Hurlbut of Rockwell City; and his brother Larry Hurlbut. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
