With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roberta Jane Witt of Columbia, Iowa, born in Chariton, Iowa, who passed away on February 20, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray E. Shepard and Gladys Irene Shepard (Van Arsdale); her children, Janet Gail Witt and John Shepard Witt of Aptos, CA; her husband Harlan E. Witt, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Susan Gardner Witt; her sister Evelyn Beebout; her brother-in-law Kenneth Beebout; her niece Nancy Phillips; and her nephew Warren Beebout.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Darvin Marquardt of Ames, IA; her grandchildren, Ryan Marquardt (Janice) of Van Meter, IA, Amanda Wever (Greg) of Ames, IA, Derick Marquardt (Maria) of Milton, VT, Robin Gardner (Linda) of Santa Cruz, CA and Dr. Russell Witt (Lily Witt) of Houston, TX; her sister Marilyn Greve of Boulder, CO; and her brother-in-law Gerald Witt (Carolyn) of Carlisle, IA. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
