He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Wright and Georgia Wright (Lowery); his son William Robert Wright; his grandson Jonathan Wright; and his siblings, Hazel Hoelscher (Rufus), Jessie Wright (Ethel), Gene Wright (Arlene) and Kenneth Wright (Jeannie).
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Wright of Nevada, Iowa; his children, Rebecca Minnick (Wayne) of Ames, Thomas Wright (Susan) of Collins, James Wright Jr. (Sarah) of Collins and Janelle Mason (Rory) of Nevada, Iowa; his grandchildren, Joseph Wright (Heidi), Tracy Wright, Nathan Wright, Christina Wright, Paul Mason and Dylan Mason; his stepgrandchildren, Megan Dreher, Molly DePasquales and Casey Minnick; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Patrick, Stella, Lucy, Vince, Evan, Aiden and Brody. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
