He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Brogen and Jean Van Brogen (Miller); his wife Cheryl Patterson; and his daughter Amanda Allen. He is survived by: his brothers, Danny Van Brogen (Rhonda) of Reasnor, Gary Van Brogen (Deb) of Newton, Daryl Van Brogen (Pam) of Sully and Les Van Brogen (Brenda) of Newton; and his grandsons, Robert, Brandon and Dakota Allen. He is also survived by 2 great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
