It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peggy J. Lester of Colfax, Iowa, born in Baxter, Iowa, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nason Kloppenborg and Olive Kloppenborg (Swalwell); her husband Rhalee Lester; and her siblings, John Kloppenborg and Opal Howell.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald Lester, Garry Lester (LaDonna) and Danny Lester (Kim); her adoptive daughter Billie Jo "BJ" Russell (Mike); her grandchildren, Christina Lester-Anderson (Carrie), Dustin Lester (Nichol), Kyra Lester, Edik Lester, Ian Lester, Chase Russell (Jessie), Colton Russell and Chelsea Russell; her great grandchildren, Charity, Hailey and Alexander; her siblings, Larry Kloppenborg (Mary Alice), Myrtle Lester, Elaine Stucky, Nancy Diggins (Bob) and Casey Schuler (Cliff); and her parents-in-law, Jerry Howell and Nita Kloppenborg. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will not be present during visitation due to Covid restrictions.
Memorials may be directed to the Colfax Fire Station to be used for the flower beds, Howard Street Christian Church or the Colfax Public Library.
