He is survived by: his wife Deanna Smith of Urbandale; his children, Chris Smith (Tranquillity) of Colfax and Laci Hutson (Joey) of Urbandale; his grandchildren, Emily, Jayden Steward, Braelynn and Anna Hutson; his sister Glenna Penny (Jim) of Newton; and his nephew Justin Jenkins (Kristal) of Carlisle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the Jasper County Conservation Board or Happy Tails Ranch and Rescue.
