It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Sampson of Colesburg, Iowa, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Sampson and Hazel Sampson (O'Neal); and his brothers, Roland and Robert Sampson. He is survived by: his wife Fay Sampson of Cedar Rapids; his sons, Scott Sampson (Patsy) of Dyersville, Brad Sampson (Sheryl) of Colesburg and David Sampson of Cedar Rapids; his sister Rosellen Elvidge (Greg) of Cedar Rapids; and his sisters-in-law, Bev Sampson of Edgewood and Rachel Sampson of Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
