She was predeceased by: her parents, Loren Herman and Sarah Herman (Shaw); her husband Evert Klaus; and her siblings, Rodney Herman, Phyllis Thibadeau, Donna Harris, Virginia "Ginger" Ball, Nancy Herman and Mary "Jackie" Troester.
She is survived by: her children, Tom Klaus (Sandy) of Colesburg, Gayle Kennedy (Gary) of Cedar Rapids and Amy Klaus of Plymouth, Minnesota; her grandsons, Eric Klaus (Emily) and Ben Klaus (Sophie); her siblings, Vincent Herman (Betty) of Earlville, Larry Herman of Cedar Rapids and Paulette Mueller (John) of Dubuque; and her sister-in-law Carol Herman of Manchester. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
