He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice; his grandson Brian Steines; his parents, Herman Lueken and Marie Lueken (Ries); his siblings, Anna Mae Tobin and Robert Lueken; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Deppe, Darlene Wedewer, Alfred Tobin, Howard "Bud" Wedewer, Leon Wedewer, Dave Wedewer, Lawrence Deppe and Albert Trenkamp.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Lueken of Clearwater, Lois Steines (Dennis) of Dyersville, Jan Lueken (Ruth) of Colesburg, David Lueken (Judy) of Greeley, Jeffrey Lueken (Terri) of Anamosa and Steven Lueken (Jill) of Colesburg; his grandchildren, Holly Moorman (David), Benjamin Lueken (Maria), Kara Crane (Neil), Sara McDermid (Kyle), Joshua Lueken (Katie), Jessica Parsons (Phil), Justin Lueken (Marissa), Jennifer Perrinjaquet (Jordan), Lucie Schmitz (Anthony), Tony Lueken (Anna), Dakota Lueken (Jessica) and Hunter Lueken; and his siblings, Rita Engelken of Manchester, Mildred Lombard (Al) of Iowa City, Paul Lueken (Luella) of Garber, Willie Lueken (JoAnn) of Durango, Donald Lueken (Mikki) of Dubuque, Elaine Lueken of Dyersville, Elaine Vonderhaar (Francis) of New Vienna, Kathleen Trenkamp of Dyersville and Joan Wedewer of Dubuque.
