He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Henderson and Winnie Henderson (Burnside); his wife Verla Henderson; his granddaughter Kristy Henderson; and his brothers, Wallis "Walley" Henderson, Keith Henderson and Gerald Henderson.
He is survived by: his sons, Stan Henderson (Suzanne) of Paso Robles, Steve Henderson (Connie) of Monticello, Gene Henderson of Manchester, Rick Henderson of Coggon, Verle Henderson of Jonesboro and Larry Henderson (Jeannie Kuiper) of North Liberty, Iowa; his grandchildren, Daniel Henderson (Elizabeth), Matthew Henderson, Tracy Moler (Chad), Jill Ries (Carl), Brian Henderson (DeAnne), Brad Coblentz (Donna), Nicole Gruber (Kris), Ashley Ressler (Michael), Haley Pease (Tanner), Brock Henderson (Sydney) and Brady Henderson; and his sisters, Garnett Henderson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Marilyn Hejda of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service (511 E Main St, Central City, IA 52214). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Calendar Coggon Cemetery.
