He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard E. Heffernen and Clara Mae Heffernen (Holub); and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his spouses, Lois Reeves and Lois Heffernen of Coggon; his daughters, Teresa Bogle (Sam) of Oklahoma City, Sheryl Evans (Sidney) of Houston and Jolene Erlbacher (Dave) of Harlan; and his siblings, Richard Heffernen of Manchester, Virgil Heffernen (Bea) of Ankeny and Kathleen Kuebler (Harold) of Altamont, Illinois. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
