He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Main and Bessie Main (Cook); his wife Janet Louise Carpenter; his son-in-law Don Gudenkauf; his siblings, Harlan, Earl, Dale and Luella Heasley; and his siblings-in-law, Darrell Carpenter, John Heasley and Rachel Main.
He is survived by: his children, Sharla Gudenkauf of Winthrop and Eric Main of Coggon; his grandchildren, Nick Gudenkauf (Amber) of Masonville and Kylie Gudenkauf of Quasqueton; his great grandchild Aubry Gudenkauf; and his sisters-in-law, Delores Main Slage of Sheffield and Shirley Carpenter of Troy Mills.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a public visitation or service.
