With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward James Hosek of Clutier, Iowa, who passed away on October 1, 2022 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hosek and Anna Hosek (Saver); his wife Joyce A. Davis; his children-in-law, Lyal Owens and Linda Hosek; his brothers, Joseph Hosek (Annie), Louie Hosek (Marie) and James Hosek (LaVerna); and his nieces, JoAnn Latting and Martha Hanson.
He is survived by: his children, Duane Hosek (Nancy Kehoe) of Clutier, Dennis Hosek (Janet) of Clutier and Diane Owens (Bobby Bowers) of Traer; his grandchildren, Penny Soat (Rob), Dione Gisch, Sheri Hosek (Kathryn Mlsna), Paul Cizek, Jason Hosek (Amy), Justin Hosek (Jamie), Jamie Hosek-Heiar (Jason) and Jana Hosek; his great grandchildren, Abby Freis, Channing Soat (Megan), Chase Soat, Lucas, Maxwell, Josef Cizek, Jonathan, Ethan, Jackson Hosek, Dylan, Ryan, Mason Hosek, Clay Hershberger and Ty Guthrie; his great great grandchild Maelynn Soat; and his brother-in-law Lester Davis (Sue) of Johnston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
