He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Evans and Shirley Evans (Vaughan). He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Ryan (Lisa) of Ankeny and David (Emily) of Johnston; his grandchildren, Sam, Chanel, Andy, Jenni and Maggie; and his brother Tom (Vickie) of Urbandale. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the McLaren's Chapel (801 19th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265). The military honors was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery (34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions to the National Kidney Foundation.
