He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Smith and Mildred Smith (Dunham); his siblings, Carolyn Robbins, Lucille Smith, Kenneth Smith and Donald Smith; and his daughter Cherie Smith Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Smith (Lott); his children, Bill Smith (Kim) of Texas, Dana Cravy (Dale) of Texas, Shanna Schutte of Clinton and Pam Whitehead (Mel) of Clinton; his grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Jeremy, Sunny, Geoffrey, Nathan, Bradly, Tyler, Emilie, Michelle, Michael, Tommy, Chrissy, Whitney, Natasha, Trevor, Christopher, Allyson and Papa; and his great grandchildren, Caellen, Emma, Margot and Ransom. He is also survived by married young and had 3 children from his first marriage.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Dementia Society of America.
