He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Mungen and Mary Mungen (Matz); and his wife Irene Wasilewski. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Margaret Spaulding (Michael), Charles Willes, Kathleen Fritz (Kenneth) and Paul Willes (Denise); his great-nephews, Matthew, Martin, Zachary and Jake; his great-niece Vanessa; and his friend Gathering.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to Mercy Hospice of Clinton.
