He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. and Emma Lackermann (Schwartz); and his siblings, Earl, Evelyn Henderson, Carol Fraley and Geraldine Wells.
He is survived by: his spouse Josephine (Jo); his child William Lackermann Jr.; and also Barr. He is also survived by his wife Jan of Des Moines, Greg Lackermann and his wife Christine of Clinton, Dr. Ellen Lackermann and her husband Neal Stephenson of Seattle, WA, Laura Lackermann Divane of Illinois and Linda Lackermann-Fletcher and her husband Robert of Waterville, Maine; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to either Prince of Peace School—Bill was a big supporter of Catholic education— or to Prince of Peace Parish to help plant trees on the church grounds (Bill was an active member of the Clinton branch of Trees Forever).
