He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Clara (Konvalinka) and William Thomas Shay; his former wife Bobbie; and his siblings, Clement, Cletus, LaVerne 'Squeek', Evelyn Robison and Elizabeth 'Mickey Tray.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Catherine 'Bobbie Quinlan; his children, Michael (Linda), Kevin (Kristin), Daniel (Terri), Edwin, Richard, Beth, Sheila, Patrick (Julie), Maureen Adams and Colleen (Jeni); and his sister-in-law Ruth Quinlan. He is also survived by thirty-one grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren.
