We are sad to announce that on July 28, 2021, at the age of 96, Virginia M. Bergman of Clinton, Iowa, born in Norway, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Achiel Schaubroeck and Martha Schaubroeck (Cornette). She is survived by: her husband Raymond Bergman; her children, Robert Bergman (Susan) of Clinton, IA, David Bergman (Janet) of Sugar Grove, IL, Jeanne Ann Christiansen (Valjean) of Camanche, IA and Barbara Malloy of Davenport, IA; and her brother Jim Schaubroeck (Sharon) of Taylor Ridge, IL.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mercy Auxiliary or to the Catholic Historical Center.

“Barbara, Bob, Jeanne, and David. I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I just loved her and was hoping to see her again in late August. She had become the family elder elder after our mother had passed. My lasting impression of her was her amazing strength and sunny disposition. I know she mourned Ray terribly but she didn't dwell on it. So when it came to choosing funeral flowers for her, we wanted something bright and cheerful with some sunflowers for that sunny outlook”
