He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anthony Henry Van Loo and Mary Rosalie McAllister; his wife Ruth Ann Van Loo of Blue Springs, MO; his daughter June Marie Van Loo; his grandchildren, Chad Thacker (Sarah), Brian Thacker (Melissa) and Abby Wheeler (Landis); his son Keith Van Loo (Laurie); his grandchildren, Kyle Van Loo (Alex Sweterlitsch), Lisa Van Loo (Jessie White) and Lauren Van Loo (Bryce McCloskey); his great grandchildren, Sebastian, Ciara, Ayden, Morgan, Harmony, Harper and Daniel; and his stepsister Linda Casey.
