Whitaker, Jr. and Melvin Whitaker, Sr.; his children, Joseph Grayer, Termine Falkner, Katrina Grayer Falkner and Tyreese Falkner; and his siblings, Virginia Lampton, Katherine Kenebrew, James Whitaker (Sandra), Beverly Willis (Thomas), Stephanie Whitaker, Sandra Whitaker, Ronald Whitaker, Darryl Whitaker and Andre Whitaker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, 48 grandchildren, and friends.
