Sonja L. Housenga Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sonja L. Housenga of Clinton, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Sonja has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Young and Bernadine Young (Paup); and her husband Robert Housenga. She is survived by: her children, Tanya VanLancker (Eric) of Clinton and Wesley Golden (Kristina) of Clinton; and her grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jackson, Prushia and Leone.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory (302 3rd Ave S, Clinton, IA 52732). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials can be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
