She was predeceased by: her parents, William Angel and Elnora Angel (Collins). She is survived by: her husband Dwight Wheelan; her children, James Wheelan (Chris) of Cedar Falls, IA and Jill McDonald (Tim) of Clinton; her grandchildren, Brad Wheelan (Kate), Brett Wheelan (Cheri), Brooks Wheelan, Amy Jacobus (Joe) and Erin Hogan (Mark); her sister Ruth Kivett of Danville, IL; and her sisters-in-law, Wanda Angel and Pat Gruber. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Shirley's memory to MercyOne Hospice, 915 13th Ave N., Clinton, Iowa 52732.
