He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Shumake and Henrietta Shumake (Hansen); his wife Margaret Miller; his granddaughter Blyanna; his son-in-law Adolph; and his sister Esther.
He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Ringen of Clinton, IA, Judy Ehresmann of Olympia, WA and Robert E. Shumake (Christy) of Clinton, IA; his sister Shirley Reed of Clinton, IA; and his pet Molly. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Clinton Humane Society.
