He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Boegel and Jennie Boegel (Cook); his daughter Karen B. Lynch; his siblings, Donald K. Boegel (Alice), Herbert H. Boegel, Florence A. Sheffield (Phil) and Helen Smith (Berkley); his sister-in-law Janet Boegel; his nephew Kenneth Boegel; and his great-niece Brittany Boegel.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Smith; his daughter Kathryn B. Tiefenthal (Daniel) of Plainwell, MI; his grandchildren, Ryan Lynch (Pamela), Scott Lynch (Rachel), Ross Lynch, Chris Tiefenthal (Morgan), Kaitlin Tiefenthal and Valerie Vasquez; his great grandchildren, Owen and Ella Lynch; his brother Karl H. Boegel of Clinton; his son-in-law Loring Lynch (Bobi); and his sister-in-law KaraGay Boegel (Bill). He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church in Clinton, IA, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, or the Brittany K. Boegel Giving Fund.
