He is survived by: his wife Kay Lorraine Johnson; his children, Bradley Spittler of Clinton, Eric Spittler of Clinton and Kristine Gray (Brandon) of Clinton; his grandchildren, Kristin, Jessica, Taylor, Zachary, Melanie, Isabelle, Carlee, Madilyn, Grant and Colby; his great grandchildren, Silas, Elisha and Isaiah; and his siblings, Joseph Spittler (Jayne), Marie Spittler, Marcia Engler, Virginia Kelly (Ken), Mark Spittler (Pam), Tony Spittler (Janet), Jane Hayes (David) and Matt Spittler (Peggy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
