He was predeceased by: his parents, George Johnson and Doris Johnson (Van Vorst). He is survived by: his wife Marion Schafer of Clinton; his children, Katherine Johnson (Paul Thran) of Chicago, Kieth Johnson (Dana Weigel) of League City and Russell Johnson (Tiffany Ulett) of Libertyville, Illinois; his nephew Robert Johnson of Newburg; and his grandchildren, Mitchel, Theodore, Lukas, Jacob, Emma, Max, Michelle, Mimi, June, Kaden, Zoey and Kendall.
