She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Dierksen and Helen Dierksen (Hook); and her husband Theodore "Ted" Tholen. She is survived by: her sons, Ted Tholen, III (Pat) of Clinton, Curt Tholen of Clinton, Tom Tholen (Barb) of Clinton, Craig Tholen of Clinton and Shawn Tholen (Jo Leebold) of East Moline, IL. She is also survived by four grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
