She is survived by: her husband Jose Nieves Oliver of Clinton, IA; her children, Nilsalys Nieves of Puerto Rico and Rachid Nieves (Jessica); and her brother Carmelo Suarez. She is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
