He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Blount and Veronica Blount (Phillips); his siblings, Mary Murtha, Charlene Chap, Richard and Donald Joseph; and his nephew Austin Blount.
He is survived by: his wife Laurel Tracy; his children, Agina Phipps (Jay Thomas) of Aurora, IL, Sybil Zmolek (Craig Curley) of Stewartville, MN, Nathan Blount (Lisa) of Clinton and Seth Blount (Lynette) of Maquoketa; his grandchildren, Kelsey Potratz, Kaylee Zmolek, Anabel, Marcus, Kael, Avrey and Brielle Blount; and his siblings, Delores Thomann (Dick) of East Moline, Thelma Rife (John) of Mt. Vernon, IA, Adaline Blount of Los Lunas, NM and Charles Blount of Camanche. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
