She was predeceased by: her nephew Rich Matzen; her parents, Otto D. Naeve and Augusta Naeve (Jensen); her husbands, Robert A. Soenksen and Kenneth I. Anderson; her son Tom; her daughter-in-law Julie; and her sisters, Arline Matzen and Naberta Tietjens.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Soenksen (Barb) of Wilton, IA, Jim Soenksen (Maureen) of Atlanta, GA and Cindy Swanson (Cal) of Clinton. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in Luella's name to the Alverno, St. John Lutheran Church or ALS.
