We bid farewell to Karl R. Lemke of Clinton, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 17, 2025 at the age of 85. Karl touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernhard Lemke and Margaret Lemke (Overton). He is survived by: his wife Jean Kennedy; his children, Karla Jean Burn (Kenneth) of Morrison, IL, Paul Lemke (Gina) of Kearneysville, WV, Robert Lemke (Kim) of Columbus, OH, Mark Lemke (Jennifer) of Tipton, IA and Adam Lemke (Cheramy) of Clinton, IA; and his siblings, Bernadine Dehner of Clinton, IA, Ruth Drews of Clinton, IA, John Lemke of Clinton, IA, Roger Lemke (Judy) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Phillip Lemke (Karlyn) of Fulton, IL and Phyllis Warren of Clinton, IA.. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory (302 3rd Ave S, Clinton, IA 52732). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for an IBEW Trade Scholarship to be set up by the family.
