He is survived by: his wife Patricia Matheson of Clinton; his siblings, Lawrence of Tama and Shirley Deal of Green Mountain; his children, Randy Murty of Kansas City, Don Murty of Tama, Larry Murty (Jennifer) of Marshalltown, Frank LaShelle, James LaShelle (Jean), LeAnn Young (Leroy), Christine Lyman (Keith), Lorna Pothof (Elmer) and Kymber of Clinton; and his grandchildren, Abligail Murty of Marshalltown, Marnie, Kimberly, Ernest, Zachary Hennings and Joey Bevans of Clinton.
