He is survived by : his daughter Kelly Marie Douglas (Jason); his sisters, Patricia "Trish" Ann Monahan (William Lane) and Maureen Frances Monahan (Jonathan); his nephews, William Jennings Lane and Max Joseph Monahan Arons; his granddaughter Emma Josephine Douglas; and his pet Bella.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, July 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory (302 3rd Ave S, Clinton, IA 52732).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy Hospice.
