He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Witt and Maureen Witt (Cain); his brothers, Tom, Jim and Edward; and his siblings-in-law, Patti Witt and Mike Pittman.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hagge; his sons, Christopher Thomas of Bend, OR and Ryan Thomas (Elizabeth) of Kings Canyon, CA; his grandson Liam; and his siblings, Steve Witt of Iowa City, Michael Witt (Sue) of Grinnell, IA, Sheila Coonen (Mike) of Phoenix, AZ, Kathleen Witt of Scottsdale, AZ, Mary Pat Connell of Clinton and Ann Pittman of Coralville, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Chad Pregracke's Living Lands and Waters or Prince of Peace.
