He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Newsom and Anna Mae Newsom (Gammon); his former wife Rita; his granddaughters, Julianna and Justice; and his brother David.
He is survived by: his children, James Newsom of Clinton, Joseph Newsom (Brandy) of Goose Lake, John R. Newsom (Kayla) of Clinton and Jennifer Holdgrafer (Gregg) of Preston; and his brother Wayne Newsom of Goose Lake. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
