She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Kaffenberger and Mary Kaffenberger (Donahue); her former husband Donald Griffin; and her husband Richard McLaughlin. She is survived by: her adoptive daughter Kathleen McGowan of Baltimore, MD; and her siblings, William Kaffenberger (Linda) of Mesa, AZ, John Kaffenberger (Debbie) of Chesapeake, VA, Rev. Dan Kaffenberger (Mary Ann) of Harrison, AR, Chris Kaffenberger (Dawn) of Clinton, IA and Ann Howell (Gary) of Council Bluffs, IA. She is also survived by two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
