He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leo William and Virginia May Kurtz (Frey); his wife Eleanor Griep; his children, Vickie Jacobsen of Anamosa, IA, Brenda Sjoblom (Erik) of State Center, IA and Kevin Kurtz (Bridget) of Clinton; and his brothers, Dick of DeWitt and Bill of DeWitt. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren.
