He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Alton and Jetta Thompson (Edwards); and his siblings, William, Wade, Joseph, Jr., Vernon Lee, Shadwell and Betty.
He is survived by: his brother Jim; his wife Sandra Lundgren Fullick of Clinton; his children, JC Thompson (Lisa Leslie) of Clinton, Leslie Morris (Kirk) of Hope Mills and Diane Lozier (Marc) of Wilmington; his stepsons, Eric Fullick (Cathy) of Clinton, Mike Fullick (Carmen) of Trinity and Tim Fullick (Kathy) of Lakeland, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Krista, Nicholas, Skylar, Josh, Tomi, Dan, Molly and Kyle; and his great grandchildren, Olivia and Aoife. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
