He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Merdian and Lucille Merdian (Bentley); and his wife Ginger Wickham. He is survived by: his children, Coleen Koranda (Dave) of Davenport, Lynne Shovlain (Joe) of Clinton, Mike Merdian (Renee) of Clinton and Mark Merdian (Stefanie) of Boone, IA; his grandchildren, Steven, Brittany, Jacklyn, Katelyn, Jennifer, Isabella, Justin and Shannon; and his close friend Genevieve Petersen of Clinton. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
