He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Kratochvil and Helen Kratochvil (Pospisil); and his siblings, Eldon, Donald and Elaine.

He is survived by: his son Shawn Kratochvil of Davenport; his granddaughter Aubrey Evans of Davenport; and his siblings, Marlin Kratochvil (Loretta) of Norfolk, NB, Delores Wagner and Marlene Furley (Chuck) of Norfolk.
