She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Schmidt and Esther Schmidt (Nielsen); her husband Gene; her daughter Pam; her grandson Joel; and her brothers, Harold, Kenneth and Marvin.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Jepsen (Dan) of Port Bryon, IL, Larry Niebuhr (Pam) of Eldridge and Jeffrey Niebuhr (Sharon) of Clinton; and her son-in-law Kent Widmer (Jane) of Iowa City. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
