He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Diercks and Agnes Diercks (Henningson); his grandson Brandon Till; his grandson-in-law Collin Long; his siblings, Vernon Diercks and Laverne Myers; and his son-in-law Richard Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Diercks; his children, Brenda Johnson of Thomsen, IL, Rick Diercks (Kathy Schoel) of Clinton, Carol Diercks of Clinton, Kevin Diercks (Patti) of Andover, Lisa Till (Tim) of Bellevue, IA and Michael Diercks of Clinton; his grandchildren, Michael Johnson (Rachel), Kristen Rahe (Chad), Jill Diercks (Jeff Hart), Jennifer Diercks (Josh Wall), Kelli Daehler (Ben), Lindsey Long and Lauren Till (Keaton Tebbe); and his sister Darlene Schroeder of Clinton. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church or Camp Courageous.
