He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Determan and Wilhelmine Determan (Manning); his wife Doris Taylor; his son Phillip; his great grandchild Liam; and his brothers, Gene and Tom.

He is survived by: his sons, Gary Determan (Mary) of Clinton, Ken Determan (Lynne) of Clinton, Kevin Determan (Deena) of Clinton, Pat Determan (Ellen) of Clinton, Dennis Determan (Beth) of Clinton, Tim Determan (Shari) of Clinton and Mike Determan (Taryn) of Camanche; and his daughter-in-law Deb Determan of Camanche. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
