She was predeceased by: her parents, John Brandenburg and Clara Nell Brandenburg (Fanger); her sons, Gregg and Kent Schmidt; and her son-in-law LeRoy Sigler.
She is survived by: her former husband Richard Schmidt; her husband Edward Meadows; and her children, Leonard Schmidt (Sandra) of Hillsboro, OR and Sylvia Sigler of Port Edwards, WI. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Calamus or the Iowa Alzheimer's Association.
