He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gelhar and Louise Gelhar (Merkling). He is survived by: his wife Elaine of Clinton; his children, Sheri Bodkin (Don) of Highlands Ranch and Rick Gelhar (Lori) of Clinton; and his siblings, Ralph Gelhar of Waukegan, Harry Gelhar (Kathy) of Zion, Mary Lou Himes of West Bend and Monica Plaskan (Laurance) of West Bend. He is also survived by three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
